I vaguely remember a quote from an astounding movie several years ago, but it went a little something like this; "Artist use lies to reveal the truth, while news reporters use lies to cover up the truth." It was from the movie V for Vendetta, but that quote stood out to me because it feels rather true about real life. You could say all of the wonderful artist on this website including myself use lies in various forms in our artwork to reveal a truth as we reflect the truth of our feeling in our works of art.
